Henderscheme 'Homage' Series

Homage1

Japanese brand Henderscheme have been producing handmade shoes since. In their new collection the pay 'Homage' to some of the greatest sneaker silhouettes ever designed. Re-creating them in the same unique handmade way as the rest of their collection. The collection is reminiscent of the Sak x Converse collaborations of the last couple of years especially when looking at the outsole. With the Nike Air Force 1, Vans Era and my favourites the Adidas Superstar which take on a completely different shape due to the leather construction of the toe box this is a seriously nice collection which not only pays tribute but makes you seriously think about the value of the quality and craftsmanship with which these are built and is a serious step away from the current mass production ethos.

Adidas ZX8000 Autumn 2011

I realise that the blog has been somewhat lacking its main intention in the last couple of months so here is a something new from Adidas for this Autumn. Following the same vein as Nikes foray into mixing trainers and work boots they have taken the ZX8000 and given it a make over with some serious leather and d-ring eyelets. I think they have come out really well in both cases although the red/brown leather version is far superior in my opinion, it has a more authentic theme with the mustard interior and silver eyelets...

Adidas ObyO x Kazuki Kuraishi 3L Shell Jacket

By now you'll all be familiar with Adidas Originals and Kazuki Kuraishi, their partnership has reaped heavy rewards season after season because of the amazing detailing and quality they bring to their designs. This 3L Shell Jacket is part of the new collection and it really is a masterpiece incorporating the white and blue stripes with the iconic grey 3 stripe accent down the arms. It's all in the details...

The Adidas Superstar...

Superstar by name Superstar by nature, the Adidas Superstar is one of if not the most recognisable silloutte in the trainer business, this season sees Adidas giving the classic a little bit of a make over with 2 crazy looking designs. First up the Porter collaboration which sports Porters famous black/orange nylon combination and a funky zip entrance, fans of their last collaboration are sure to lap this up...

Secondly the James Bond for David Beckham series brings us a Superstar cross bred with a Saddle shoe, and although I am still very much undecided on wether I love or hate this, its definately got something unique about it...

Mita x Adidas Rod Laver

After my recent posts on the Stan Smith it seems fair to give some love to the Rod Laver model also a classic in its own right. No stranger to big brand collaboration Japanese brand Mita put there winter touch onto this pair with a simple buttery suede and gum sole number. These hit Mita on the 13th but expect them to come to the UK towards the end of the year...

Adidas Originals Stan Smith 80's Mid

Stan smith's are one of the most iconic shoes ever designed, although the mid version is probably second to the low top this pair is up there. Premium brown leather and suede make up the upper with the black tab, and two tone white sole I really do think these are beautiful...

D-ring lacing....

So the heating is on at home and winter is coming, and it seems fitting that the d-ring lacing system is here for the season. The d-ring lacing system has been making a massive comeback as the hiking boot look returns, but now it seems it has crossed over into the sneaker world, and to be honest I love it when its used right, my favourite so far is the Nike Lava Dunk no matter what you do to that shape it still manages to pull it off...

Sneaker Brogue Hybrids

Although the idea of taking elements from classic shoes and bringing them into the sneaker market is not a new idea, recently we have seen the continual influence of the new brogue explosion filtering through. Most notably on the recent Adidas Micropacer Brogue which in all honesty I wish i'd picked up myself, but don't think this is the last we've seen of these hybrid designs...

Adidas Originals 2010 Highrise

It's safe to say there has already been a buzz already around this model, for me it has a really nice look. I think it takes influences from Giuliano Fujiwara's and Y-3 collections and could a a big 2010 release for Adidas, the grey/gold colorway is definately my favourite so far...

This collection has been circulating the web in various forms over the last few weeks. For me personally it seems to be a cash in on both Star Wars and Trainer fans. But I saw these concept pictures on SneakerFreaker and I couldn't help myself...
