Engineered Garments Paisley Camp Shirt

Apolis-1Apolis-1

Paisley is a pattern which has made a monumental return to designers arsenal in recent seasons and I have already been won over on the pocket squares and ties front. But when it comes to full paisley garments I have never been a huge fan. This is why I was surprised to find myself returning several times to this both Engineered Garments Paisley Camp Shirt. Holiday season for me is just around the corner and im currently on the hunt for short sleeved shirts (partially inspired by the Acne shirt I posted last week). This may surprise you but I don't currently own any short sleeved shirts at all, I prefer to roll my sleeves up. But I think variety is always a good thing therefore this one is on my hit list I can't think of anything looking sharper than this with a nice simple pair of shorts and some new common projects...

Acne Short Sleeve Denim Shirt

AcneDenimShirt-1

Although the threat of snow seems to be the hot topic of conversation at the moment I am well and truly keeping it optimistic and looking forward to a warm spring and a scorching summer. With that in mind the new season from Acne has offered up this short sleeve denim shirt as part of their SS12 collection. I really like the dark denim as I think it will offer both night and day style and with a granddad colour and buttonless pockets the details are simple and effective. Available now via Oki-Ni. Having visited the new Acne store in Paris just before the New Year this is definitely not the last piece that will be gracing the blog this year, so watch this space...

Gitman Brothers 'Polar Expedition' Shirt

Gitmanpolar1

No one quite makes shirts like Gitman Brothers make shirts. This could not be more evident when looking at their AW11 and SS12 Collections and this 'Polar Expedition' Shirt has everything it has an unusual and crazy pattern yet manages to be subtle due to the colours and printing techniques. It has all important Gitman Button Down Collar and is guaranteed to have quality in its construction. Given the trend for the patterned shirt right now it is a great time to pick up something that has true longevity like this rather than waste money on something you will not wear next year, available now via Garbstore...

Our Legacy Generation Shirt

Our Legacy Generation Shirt

Our Legacy have crafted another lovely collection of shirts for this Autumn/Winter and having purchased this one I can happily confirm that the quality and fit is brilliant. This blue/red patterning has an almost african feel to it and the bone effect buttons really set off the whole look. Although the material is quite thick it is not too much for a summer evening and will definitely hold its own into winter too, available now via oi polloi...

S.E.H. Kelly Raglan Shirt

Sometimes a brand creates a piece of clothing which is literally perfect and I think this could be one of those pieces. S.E.H Kelly is a British brand who actually produce their clothes in Britain which I think is really great. Their Raglan Shirt is made from pinpoint cotton in a finer weave than usual Oxford Shirts making it perfect for the summer. The S.E.H tailors have managed to remove both the yoke and shoulder seams to create a much airier feel and in the process creating a really unique yet equally smart look. The short straight hem which hangs just over the belt line also erases that shall I tuck this is in feeling. Add to this the unbelievable details such as the rounded club collar and natural corozo buttons and you have what may well be summer shirt perfection, available in limited numbers now...
