Casio G-Shock GW-3000BB Leatherback

GShockLeatherback-1

My University days were spent frequenting the streets of Leeds and HIP Store was where a decent majority of my quarterly student loan spendings went on the day they came in. It is therefore nice to see they are getting some major exclusives instore and getting the love they deserve. Which brings me to the tasty treat above. In collaboration with G-Shock fashion photographer and editorial contributor to Men's File Magazine Nick Clements has created the GW-3000BB Leatherback. The inspiration for this unique timepiece comes from early aviation instruments worn by flight crew on the wrist. The detailing is superb with a full grain leather strap and snap over casing. The strap is slightly longer than a standard wrist strap, for a proper fit over a bomber jacket or flight suit. I think this is an amazing well thought out and executed project, they will be limited to 50 pieces and available at HIP, and also I just found out at the Garbstore now...

Gunny Handmade Watch Straps

APCamoparka1

Gunny Straps is a small company offering fully handmade/hand finished vintage leather watch straps. Every strap is unique and can be fully customised to any size watch and your own specifications. As you can see the results are quite stunning. I especially like the vintage look and thickness of the strap, after owning a U-Boat I know the aesthetic and practical benefits of a good well made leather strap and these are the real deal. And the bonus is although they only get better with age, get one know via the Gunny Straps blog...

Human Time Project HTP1 Military Watch

htp1

Thousands of people die each year in third world countries due to medical staff not having a working watch. This fact is as shocking as it is little known. The good folks at the Human Time Project are not only trying to do something about this but also offering a fantastic product at the same time. Designed with medics who have worked in these areas the HTP1 is not only a great looking watch but it is designed to do the job they need it for. For every watch sold they will donate one to a medic in the field. Not only is this a great cause but given that the watch is independently produced the price is very reasonable at $95. Available in 4 colours available for pre order now...

Master-piece x Casio G-Shock

Masterpiecegshock1

Master-piece so consistently deliver in the accessories department it is no surprise for me to already be obsessing over their new collection. This is the first of two items I am currently coveting but these are by no means the only great pieces in their extensive collection. The watch is based on the classic DW-5600 G-Shock and produced with an understated stealth-black face and a negative-red display. The watch has discreet yellow accents and a master-piece branded case-back, completing this refined example of the brand’s considered design. Yes it is just a black watch but I cannot convey enough how brilliantly subtle this watch is, I truly love this, available now via oki-ni...

Collete x Everything

Collete in Paris apart from being one of the koolest shops ive ever been in is collabing with so many companies in the next few weeks it makes it hard to keep up and keep the text down so here goes:

First we have the Uniqlo pop up store inside Collete which currently is stocking a ltd collection dubbed with the signature logo 'From Tokyo to Collete' while stocks last.
The next two collaborations are with 2 watch companies at both ends of the scale, for street style the B-store x Casio G-shock for Collete which offers up 2 designs one in gingham and the other in the polka dots synonymous with the parisian store. The Bamford & Sons Rolex collaboration which is definately my favourite which brings together the classic Milgauss model in black with the Collete blue face.
Finally we have the Timberland x Collete work boot classic but not anything to shout about in my opinion
Find them all at Collete release dates vary throughout September...
