Nike Hyperdunk "Kobe Bryant x Aston Martin DB9"

Common Projects 2010 Collection
After showing you the up and coming Common Projects x Evisu collection, I went to check out Common Projects 2010 line on SSENSE, now along side the classic shape of the achiles, we have the achilles raw which features more of a rough cut edge and leather laces, the brand have also brought in a more colourful cap toe low which I think is great for the summer. The downfall of this season is their new model the 5 hole slip on, aside from the quality materials this is a Vans Era rip off... Also available via Tres Bien Shop...
B:Scott Collection
This collection from US designer Brandon Scott is awesome, the Japanese influence is clear especially in the detailing with double layered collars and elbow patches, really nice stuff, I especially like one of the more simple pieces a denim jacket cut but in black fleece, check out the full collection here...

Nike Sportswear 6 Collaboration
Nike Sportswear begins the celebration of the World Cup Year with 6 collaborations from 6 different designers from 6 different countries. All of the designers were asked to design a badge, mascot, print and an alphabet in their handwriting style. Each collaboration includes N98 Track Jacket, AW 77 hoodie, kit tee, polo shirt and short for men and women. They also include colour matched shoes of which i'm most excited about the Nike Dunk AC in several colours which was one of my favourites from last year...

Fashion House Influence
Thanks to Kanye Wests exploits into the game last year, we have seen more and more of the fashion houses entering the industry with designs to lure in the heads. Although the purests don't want to see this happen it was an inevitable step in the industry once we were prepared to queue for hours to pay £150 for a pair of Nikes.
There is a definate upside to this new trend. Now that we have all this money from the top design houses flooding into shoes we are starting to see the knock down effect into the designs at the affordable end of the market. The Mark Ronson collection with Gucci looks to have influenced Onitsuka Tiger this year:
And the louis vuitton Kanye collaboration has inspired countless features in recent designs, below the be-tassled Adidas Nizza and Hanon's Reebok VCMP Stomper
I'm sure we'll see plenty more influences from the high end market, and this is just the beggining and I say spread the wealth...
