D-ring lacing....

So the heating is on at home and winter is coming, and it seems fitting that the d-ring lacing system is here for the season. The d-ring lacing system has been making a massive comeback as the hiking boot look returns, but now it seems it has crossed over into the sneaker world, and to be honest I love it when its used right, my favourite so far is the Nike Lava Dunk no matter what you do to that shape it still manages to pull it off...

Asics x SlamJam Gel Lyte III

September 25th marks the release date for SlamJam Italy's Asics collaboration, it is definately up there with my favourite shoes of the year. And after the huge success of the Ronnie Fieg Gel Lyte III colorways over the last couple of years you'll have to be pretty swift if you want to pick up a pair of these, I especially like the fade on the outsole...

Paladium Boots - Detroit Lives

Palladium Boots have created a series of videos which explore urban decay in cities around the world and the people who are helping to rebuild and sculpt new ideas from abandoned homes, buildings and in the case of Detroit entire cities. They are compelling viewing and really worth a watch, see the rest of the series here...

Crooked Tongues BBQ 2010

So yesterday was the annual CrookedTongues BBQ sponsored this year by Reebok. The event was a great success attracting a massive audience with a plethora of footwear, with free drinks and Nando's chicken you can't really ask for more from a day out. the only dissapointment was a lack luster Reebok stand which after such a big year with the Pump 20 campaign was sparsely decorated with some pretty average shoes, check out the pics taken by my beautiful assistant...

Nike LunarEclipse+

Given this year has been particularly slow for the top brand Nike have clearly been concentrating on continuing their heritage by bringing running to the forefront once again. Following the FreeRun+ earlier this year they bring the LunarEclipse+ which is not only a very good looking shoe but is also bursting with Nike technology, and I really like the hint of purple...

Highs and Lows x Reebok GL6000

The GL6000 is a model that has been growing on me for a few months since a resurge of colorway releases, and this collaboration with Australian retailer Highs and Lows in celebration of their 5th anniversary has topped the pile for me, the've just got such a nice aesthetic to them...

Adidas SLVR Mens AW10 Collection

Adidas' SLVR line was well recieved on its launch last year, bringing high end and street style together, this years footwear is well worth a look, im really feeling the bright colorways, and the smart feel while still keeping a sport influence, available now at uk stockists...

Lastik Pabuc Store Istanbul

I was in Istanbul a couple of weeks ago, and during exploration of the maze of side streets I stumbled upon Lastik Pabuc Istanbul's first boutique sneaker shop. The shop is evidence that its still possible to open an independant shop and as you can see they have certainly hit the nail on the head. Stocking everything from Nike and Common Projects to Kris Van Assche and some very nice apparel to boot. They also have an online store and blog, check it out now, or pop in if your heading out to Istanbul...

Levi's Workwear x Billy Reid

Billy Reid fresh from claiming GQ's 'Best New Menswear Designers in America' claim their reward with a collaboration with Levi's Workwear. This is the third year Levi's have swooped in on the winners of this title, but this does seem like a match made in heaven, the collection will be available via Billy Reid direct and Bloomingdales on Sep 10th...

Leica M9 iPhone Skin

What a superb idea, this is an unbelievably kool product, unfortunately its creator Joey Celis has announced that it will not go on sale, but im sure this isn't the last we've seen of this concept...

Dr Romanelli x Converse All Star Cup

Dr Romanelli (DRx) is back again with another massive and yet again beautiful collaboration, and although this is not the first time we have seen the 'Born In The USA' concept having seen the Nike SB Dunk, New Balance and Huf designs over the last couple of months I would say this is by far the nicest interpretation, especially with the black/gum combination which has always been a personal favourite. Check out Crooked Tongues for a full feature and interview...
