Nike Sportswear bring us a brand new model for 2011 the Hachi. The design obviously takes inspiration from two of my favourite Nike models the vintage Sting with the half/half lacing system and the green/orange colourway and the Blazer with the basic mid top silouette and perforated swoosh. The honeycomb vulcanised toe and resemblance to the Sting could signal why they chose the name Hachi which amongst other things means Bee in Japanese. It also comes in a second straight blue colorway...

Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III - Leather Backs Teaser
Proving you just cant keep a good man down Ronnie Fieg has released a teaser of what we assume is his next Gel Lyte III release. Dubbed the leather back for obvious reasons and with a hint of an aqua sole peeping out from the two tone black/grey upper these look like they will continue his rich vain of form, cant wait for more pictures...
iPhone Telephoto Lens
This is not the first or last time someone will try and create a telephoto lens for an iPhone, although it may look slightly ridiculous at first the results are as you can see phenomenal and the fact that you get a case, lens, tripod and cleaning cloth all for 35 dollars makes this a shrewd investment, available now via photojoto...

Onitsuka Tiger California Vintage '78
I know the first couple of months of 2011 have been a bit vintage heavy, but to be fair they just don't make em like they used to. Besides these California 78's are real quality and the vintage outsole on these is not overdone. One of things I love about these is the sole. It's often one of the most interesting parts of a trainer yet we never see it, thats why runners like these will always have a place in my heart, check out that grip...

February: Spring in the Suburbs
At the turn of the year I said I wanted to start to put a bit more personal input into the blog. So here is the first of 11 posts one a month which will hopefully give you an idea of my style and what i'd like to be wearing this month. One of the reasons I love looking at blogs is for inspiration so I hope this does that for you...
Aesop Deoderant
Spring is a beautful season but often it can be frustrating one minute its freezing the next your sweating through your layers, so with this in mind Aesop claim to have created the ultimate deoderant,
Our Legacy Shirt & Sweater
Our Legacy is a great yound brand with fresh ideas and each season they seem to improve, this shirt and sweater are perfect for spring. The striped shirt can also be found in blue and I just love it because its different from a standard chambray, the sweater is a classic piece and im loving green right now.
Fallow Jeans
I like to support good british brands. Fallow is definately one of them, their denim is hard wearing, comfortable and most importantly great to look at!
A.P.C. Hooded Parka
Lightweight Parka's are perfect for spring when winter jackets may be too heavy and hot, these cover in the event of a shower but are breathable when the sun peeps out afterwards. Great tabacco colour too.
Uniform Wares 201 Watch
Great watch, the brown strap links in with the shoes and this watch will look as good with a hoody as a business suit, interchangable style.
Common Projects Achilles
Masters of simplicity, Common Projects SS11 collection is stunning, I love this pair in so many ways, gum soles are huge right now and they work brilliantly next to the soft tan nappa uppers, brilliant.
Inventory x Inverallen Knit Beanie
This is definately alot of money to shell out on a beanie, but there are plenty of other options available, I just like the injection of bright colour into the outfit.

Nike Dunk Low TZ
Not a massive fan of the faux vintage soles on any trainer, but these are nice, the colourways do all the hard work. Now available via Crooked Tongues and Hanon...
Band Of Outsiders AW11 Collection
After recently heaping praise on the Band Of Outsiders SS11 Collection, they saw fit to make me look even more like a brown nose after showcasing their AW11 Collection this New York Fashion Week. Suffice to say im a huge fan, bar the fur coats which I think are a little bit too much the rest of the collection is great...
Converse x UNDFTD - Poorman Weapon Part 5
By now you should all be familiar with the UNDEFEATED and their continuing collaboration with Converse on the classic Poorman Weapon. If it aint broke then dont fix it is the motto of this story and even though its now in its fifth colorway it is no less powerful than its first installment. Based on the MA-1 military jacket it has all the trimmings with Burgundy nylon uppers and authentic rip off velcro patches. Make no mistake these are heavyweights, I saw someone in the navy pair recently and was surprised how good they look on the feet, available from tomorrow...

Technology like this is really inspiring, not just for the creation of short films as below, but the possibilities and applications for a microscope such as this in the third world, check it out...

Statue Of Liberty Nike SB Dunk Pro
Nike SB releases over the last few years have been largely dissapointing with the high quality well thought out designs of old replaced with quick production fad colorways based increasingly on poor concepts. For the most part this year it seems that SB have returned to form. The quality and design process especially on the new Koston model and the New Dunk Pro are significantly better. As for concepts; included in the next Spring drop is the Statue of Liberty Dunk obviously named for its colour scheme but more interestingly is its build. The green patina colour of the iconic statue is caused by the oxidation process of the copper construction, likewise the top layer of colour on these dissapears with wear to reveal the copper/silver colour beneath, its a brilliant idea and brings a new twist to the old question do these look better worn or box fresh, the decision is yours but damn I love these...

Band Of Outsiders SS11 Lookbook
This brand just continues to impress, year on year they manage to encapsulate the feeling of each season into a great collection. Band Of Outsiders are so consistent its scary, check out their new lookbook for SS11 featuring actor James Marsdon in its polaroid brilliance...
UG Soles Air Force 1 iD
Over the festive season NikeiD.com made the Air Force 1 available for customisation, limited to only 350 pairs. UG Soles took advantage and celebrated their 1st Anniversary in style. They take their inspiration from my No. 1 trainer of the 2010, and although I have never been a fan of the AF1 its hard not to like these...

Diadora Heritage Collection
Diadora has been a dormant force for several years now, still surviving but not in the mainstream. Their heritage archive has some classic shapes in every category from high top to runner, and with a release in several nice simple vintage colorways we could be seeing a resurgent Diadora brand in 2011...

Puma x Classic Kicks R698
Although the New York sneaker boutique Classic Kicks closed its doors last year they are still keeping their interest in the culture and with the help of Puma they have released two colorways of the R698 model. Their experience in the industry shows through with the amazing combinations of colour and materials, the teal model is my favourite with suede/leather and some 3M material thrown in for good measure. Although to be fair the second pair is also a pretty nice selection. They will both be available soon at Foot Patrol...
Thanks to Vagrant Sneaker for the Photo's by far the best pictures out there...
